Now Hiring: Security Installation Technician (Full-Time)
We’re looking for a skilled Security Installation Technician to join our team and support the setup, configuration, and commissioning of advanced security systems. What You’ll Do
System Installations
- Install, configure, and commission security systems and low-voltage equipment
- Deploy intrusion detection, CCTV, access control, intercoms, and related platforms
- Pull, terminate, label, and test cabling to meet quality and code requirements
- Mount, wire, and program field devices, panels, and system components
Technical Support
- Perform basic troubleshooting during installation to ensure full system functionality
- Document installation steps, materials used, device IPs, and configuration notes
- Collaborate with service teams for escalations or post-install adjustments
Compliance & Documentation
- Follow internal SOPs aligned with UL 2050, NEC familiarity, and local codes
- Provide accurate installation reports, photos, as‑builts, and device lists
- Ensure all work complies with regulatory and customer standards
Skills & Qualifications
- Proficient with power tools, hand tools, and installation equipment
- Ability to read and interpret wiring diagrams, floor plans, and riser drawings
- Strong problem-solving and device‑level diagnostic skills
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
- Knowledge of building codes and low-voltage/security installation standards
- NEC familiarity is a plus
- Basic locksmithing knowledge preferred
Preferred Certifications (or demonstrated proficiency)
Experience with any of the following access control or security platforms is highly valued:
- AMAG (Symmetry Access Control)
- Lenel (OnGuard)
- CCure (CCure 9000)
- DMP (Digital Monitoring Products)
Candidates with multiple platform certifications are strongly preferred.
